The community must provide multi-facets of opportunity for the child to be focused on their passion and what it is they do best.
We are not just rappers," as Micheal Anderson mentions. A senior at one of the local high schools. He goes on to say that our communities are filled with all sorts of talents: singing, acting, poetry, gymnast, musicians and not to mention all of the academic excellence that continue to thrive in our communities, from all nationalities surrounding Elizabeth and Union County.

VEIN BYWHICH SUCCESS IS CIRCULATED
Our youth are becoming like the talented Starving Artist; who has great work, talent, and skills, but is never given the opportunity because all of the attention is given to rap and sports. Let's encourage and support our youth. Push them, nudge them, encourage them to leave no stones unturned, and to follow their passions and their dreams. Even if our dreams never went as far as these kids can dream, still encourage them and then be there for them.
I know this for a fact to be true, and that there are many young people who are waiting for the opportunity to flaunt their many gifts and talents while competing- or cash prizes and awards.
This is why we encourage you to reach for your dreams. Dare to be different. It starts with one song, or one dance, or one poem at a time.
